Privacy Policy
The short version
Flatstick is a scorekeeping and bet-tabulation app for golf played among friends. It records golf scores, computes who owes whom, and lets a group message each other. It never holds, escrows, or moves money. Settlement happens outside the app through your own payment app.
What we collect
- Account and identity. Your sign-in identifier, display name and handle. If you sign in with Apple, we receive whatever Apple chooses to share, which may be a relay email address rather than your real one.
- Golf and betting activity. Rounds, scores, playing groups, the games you set up, and the resulting per-player totals. This is the core record the app exists to keep.
- Settle-up handles. If you choose to add a Venmo, PayPal or Cash App handle so friends can pay you, we store that handle. We never see, hold, or transmit the payment itself.
- Messages and media you post. Text, photos and any video you send in a round's chat.
- Device tokens. Push notification tokens, so the app can tell you a score was posted or a round finished.
- Diagnostics. Crash reports and error events, used to fix defects.
What we do not collect
- Health data of any kind. Flatstick is not a health app and touches no health records.
- Payment card numbers, bank details, or payment credentials.
- Your precise location. Course selection is something you choose, not something we track.
Subscriptions
Any paid subscription is billed by Apple through your App Store account, not by us. We receive confirmation that an entitlement is active. We do not receive your payment details. Manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple subscription settings.
Who we share with
We do not sell your data. We share it only with service providers that operate the app on our behalf, and only as needed to run it: cloud hosting and the application database, push notification delivery, error and crash reporting, and subscription status. We also disclose information where the law requires it.
Deleting your account
You can request deletion from inside the app or by emailing us. When an account is deleted, Flatstick removes your current sign-in, profile and payment-handle fields, device tokens, local entitlement access, active social links, authored chat contents, and registered media ownership. Provider-side cleanup may continue securely after you sign out.
Gameplay, settle-up, moderation, audit and other legally required records can remain, linked to a non-searchable "Deleted Player" identifier, so that other players' history of a shared round stays intact. Account deletion cannot be undone, and it does not cancel App Store billing, which you manage separately with Apple.
Children
Flatstick is not directed to children and is not intended for use by anyone under the age required by your app store's rating for this app.
